Custom Work Policy
CM Fabricating charges a $40 non-refundable consultation/design fee for all custom orders, which will be applied toward the final purchase. This initial phase includes a consultation meeting and 2-3 rounds of design ideas/mock-ups. After 3 rounds of proofs being sent for revision, an additional $10 will be charged per proof sent with changes. Once a design is made to what the client is pleased with, written approval will be required. At the end of this phase, CM Fabricating will collect a 50% payment based on the quote provided for the final product. With this payment, the client agrees to let CM Fabricating begin production of the custom product.
The remaining balance will be charged upon completion of the product. The custom sign or product will be shipped after receiving the final balance.
You are ordering a custom piece which takes time from fabrication to delivery of your finished product. Once design approval of the product has been made, custom orders will normally take 3 weeks for delivery. If there is a specific deadline for completion, please let us know up front so the schedule can be adjusted.
For an order cancellation after production begins, the client agrees that they are responsible for any non-recoverable costs for the product- normally this will be the entire price of the sign. The $40 design fee and deposit will not be returned.
Custom-designed pieces are non-returnable.
At the discretion of CM Fabricating, a custom-made piece will be repaired or replaced if any manufacturer defects are found when the sign or piece is delivered. CM Fabricating must be made aware of the damages or defects within two business days of the item being delivered. Normal wear and tear and customer abuse is not covered under warranty.

You may return most non-custom new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.
When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.
Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.
